Regarded by many as the pioneer of Punk Rock, Iggy Pop was the lead singer of The Stooges from late 60's to early 70's and is infamous for his live performances, which involves being one of the first to stage dive, vomiting and even exposing himself on the stage.

He viewed his live stage performance as a type of art, often explosives, high in energy and eery, like a crazy man

performing on stage, yet to those that admire it sees the beauty within. Iggy though, did checked himself into a mental institution in 1977 to clean himself from his heroin addiction, which he later did prevail.

Here's some video of his electric live performances, witness the transformation from being the wild child to the cool jazzy dog with his latest album "Préliminaires" released this year.
